Micro-Habits for Summer

Micro-Habits for Summer

Summer invites us to slow down and reconnect—with nature, with joy, with what makes us feel alive. It’s a season of expansion: long days, stone fruit, cold dips, sunset walks, kids laughing, boat rides. These are the moments that fill our cup and carry us through the rest of the year.

Personally, I find it harder to maintain structure in the summer. I resist rigid routines and fixed schedules, drawn instead to open space and golden hour skies. But the work doesn’t stop—proposals, contracts, meetings, workshop prep—so the question becomes: How can I maintain momentum while honoring the season’s natural flow?

Lately, these simple micro-habits have been keeping me grounded:

  • Nightly focus list: 3–5 priorities for the next day

  • Biz power hour: 90 minutes of creative work each week (program + workshop development)

  • Writing session: Weekly time for thought leadership + newsletter prep

  • Yoga: Once a week to reset and stay centered

  • Screen-free lunch: One unplugged lunch outside each week

What’s been keeping you steady this season? I’d love to hear.
